Automated Nested Model Configuration
EEMS has been enhanced with a new feature which helps you develop nested EFDC+ models. This tool extracts pertinent boundary and initial condition information from a larger scale model and automatically builds the model inputs for the higher resolution nested model. This nested grid approach allows the user to efficiently develop models targeting areas of interest, such as outfalls, intakes, or jetties and/or other shoreline structures.
The example shown in the video below is for the Caloosahatchee Estuary water quality model.
