The New York Harbor is a major shipping, urban and industrial region. It has numerous contaminated sediment sites and CSO discharges along its length raising interest among researchers, industry and the environmental regulatory community. 

New York Harbor, part of the Port of New York and New Jersey, is at the mouth of the Hudson River where it empties into New York Bay and into the Atlantic Ocean at the East Coast of the United States. It is one of the largest natural harbors in the world (Wikipedia). 

This model grid contains 9,159 cells, with an average orthogonal deviation of 1.51 degrees. The grid stretches from Yonkers city in Westchester County to the sea. This grid was built in multiple stages and joined to together to make one complete grid in EFDC+ Explorer and Grid+.
